CEREC crowns, single visit dental restoration – Modesto CA

Here at Dr. Openshaw’s office in Modesto California, we use CEREC technology to create strong, custom, tooth-colored ceramic restorations in a single visit. We can diagnose, prep, mill and place all in one day. The CEREC machine mills the crown from a single block of porcelain and it is then placed on the prepped tooth and bonded permanently.

We know you have a very busy schedule and we strive to help you make the most of your time. Get the smile you want and get back to your day!

Things you should know about CEREC

*CEREC is proven technology with over 20 years of research and development

*Aesthetics and convenience join forces to offer a beautiful and fast solution to damaged teeth.

*Ceramic restorations are metal free, bio-compatible, anti-abrasive and plaque resistant

*The advanced bonding techniques that we do are able to restore your teeth back to their original strength and function.

*More than 9 million CEREC restorations have been done worldwide

How CEREC works

*First Dr. Openshaw will take digital x-rays and examine the area to determine what treatment the tooth needs. Once it is determined that you need a crown then Dr will take a digital impression. This replaces the tray method used in the past.

*Then Dr. Openshaw will design your custom crown using state of the art computer aided design (CAD) on the CEREC machine. This makes the crown fit precisely to your tooth and mouth.

*Finally Dr. Openshaw send that design to our on-site milling machine, you can watch as the porcelain block becomes your new tooth while you wait. A few minutes later the restoration is fitted, polished and bonded permanently.

And that’s it! You are done! Perhaps a little adjustment, and finishing up and then you are on your way back to your day with a healthier smile than before.
